Ceylon Tea from Sri Lanka
Ceylon tea is one of the most popular teas in the world and also known as Sri Lankan tea. Ceylon tea industry has a history of more than 150 years and Ceylon tea is the symbol of quality tea. Uva – Exotically Aromatic
This region belongs to tea grown in Sri Lanka between 3500 and 5500 feet above sea level for example, tea can be grown in Badulla, Bandarawela and Haputale areas. Tea in this region has its own unique aroma and flavor, and most people in the world prefer to drink Uva tea. These teas are commonly used in many different blends.
Kandy – Intensely full-bodied
This region belongs to tea cultivation in the tea estates of Sri Lanka from 2000 to 4,000 feet above sea level in Sri Lanka. Kandy is the capital of Sri Lanka in the past. Kandy region tea is full-bodied tea. Tea belonging to this region is relatively strong and has a mouth-spread flavor. Kandy region tea is best to drink with milk.
Sabaragamuwa – somewhat strong
Tea from tea plantations in Ratnapura and Balangoda areas belongs to the Sabaragamuwa Tea region. The tea in this region is not as strong as the low country tea, but it is a slightly stronger tea. The liquor too is similar to southern district tea, and it is a dark-yellow brown tea. In addition, there is very little sweet flavor in this region tea.
Ruhuna – Distinctively Unique
Ruhun tea is mainly grown in Sri Lanka below 2000 feet above sea level. The Ruhunu tea that grows south of Sri Lanka is relatively black tea. This tea is very strong and people who live in Middle Eastern prefer to drink Ruhunu tea.
Nuwara Eliya – Delicately Fragrant
The tea grown in Sri Lanka is 6250 feet above sea level and belongs to the Nuwara Eliya region. Relatively Nuwara Eliya regional tea liquor is light but strength is high. Often people who prefer tea in European countries prefer this Nuwara Eliya tea.
